Partnering with JFC For You, Inc., Dr. Shellie and her Global Sisterhood team served individuals who had been living in wooded encampments—men and women who had quietly endured homelessness, isolation, and years of being overlooked. What followed was nothing short of a weekend of miracles.
Warm meals were served. Safe hotel stays were provided. Essential supplies were distributed. And then came something beautifully unexpected: life-changing makeovers.
Eight incredible individuals received full transformations from Dr. Shellie’s Glam Squad and media team. With styled hair, elegant gowns from House of Couture Designs, and gentle words of encouragement, these men and women stepped into moments of visibility many had not felt in years—some in decades. The air filled with laughter and light. Posture shifted. Eyes softened. Smiles bloomed. It wasn’t about beauty—it was about dignity. And the world felt it.
A short video recap of these makeovers has now gone viral, surpassing 6 million views and touching hearts across continents. Her team currently is working on the short film that will explore this transformative makeover project. They are also working on the countless other empowering projects of the Global Sisterhood supporting women and children in need from Pittsburgh to Africa.
The outreach culminated in a powerful gala supporting JFC For You, Inc., led by Global Sister Camille Robb, whose organization feeds more than 300 people in need several times a week. Thanks to the generosity ignited by Dr. Shellie and the Global Sisterhood, essential funds were raised to provide tents, generators, bicycles, clothing, hygiene items, and countless other necessities for those experiencing homelessness.
The entire weekend embodied one of Dr. Shellie’s core beliefs: when people feel seen, supported, and valued, they begin to rise again.
